The Empire of Resotania, or just Resotania, is the oldest Human Kingdom in the World. Once the masters of the continent, they still wield great power and religious authority. It is controlled by the Ecclesiarchy, who run the Empire in the name of the long-disappeared Empress. The walls are stone and white, and the fields are lush and filled with golden wheat, so they say.

At the dawn of the Second Age, Resotania was already here, a ruined city in the centre of a massive crater from which Humanity survived and spread. Some of the finest minds in history were born within Resotania's walls, responsible for wonders of engineering such as the Aqueduct Taril running above the central city. It is also the centre of the Writ of Ahm and the worship of many of the Twelve Gods, and is by far the most pious Kingdom.

The Whiteshields are based in and controlled by Resotania, and remain a vestige of their once-great power. Despite the fact that their influence is nothing compared to the Empire of millennia passed, this Kingdom is still one of the first among equals, and in many ways is without peer both culturally and militarily, even if both of these spheres now wane.
