Poteus Ark

The Poteus Ark is an ancient object of great historical intrigue. Mentioned in passing in the Writ of Ahm, it has been the subject of hundreds of studies, hoaxes, and sensational tales. None know what is within the wooden gem-encrusted box, and rumours vary from eternal life to ancient spells, to the wood itself being far more magical and valuable than its contents.

In 2724, rumours spread of the Ark's discovery in Olson's Ruin, near the village of Taronsawk and the Akselmarch border. It was investigated by the Tomb Raiders, and was found to be enchanted with a defensive spell - when opened or moved, it caused time to reset several minutes, preventing anyone from remembering its contents. With the aid of Hollowsmere, these adventurers committed to learning how to disable this spell.

Several days after its discovery, Arco Helcullen also fell victim to the temporal spell.
