The Empire of Akselmarch, frequently referred to as just Akselmarch, is a fast-growing Empire within the Resolute Kingdoms that threatens to swallow the continent whole. Banished into the mountains two hundred years ago, since their return a worrying number of Kingdoms have been consumed entirely, such as Zadazzar, the most recent such acquistion.

Survivors of these battles are rare, but they speak of superior weaponry, tactics, and manpower capable of flattening castles and bypassing sieges. And yet, the only threat the Resolute Kingdoms have posed so far to Akselmarch's rapid expansion has been a few scant volunteers, with Light's Army being the only organisation vocal in their opposition.
