The Leonin are a humanoid species on Leurut, and the chosen species of Caleo. They bear skins of rough far and heads and manes like those of lions. Originally created to serve as wise and just rulers in the First Age, they continue to make up the ranks of much of the nobility in the Second Age across the Resolute Kingdoms. Many see a Leonin and assume noble blood, and many Humans or other species who intermarry with the Leonin gentry have offspring that bear some feline-like qualities, such as long canines or slightly thinned eyes.
