The **Defence Council** is a historic organisation that seeks the security of [[Leurut]] against threats originating from beyond the Planes. The dangers it faces are more unique and terrifying than those faced by the [[Whiteshields]] or [[Knights of Green]] or other similar brotherhoods - instead, the Defence Council is a much smaller but more potent shield.

Their most powerful weapon is the [[Prism Trap]], a spell that encases an enemy within a //Etherium Crystallis//, a magical gem that seals off the being from this reality.

Currently, the **Third Defence Council** is the latest to bear the name. It is based in [[Oestenkeep]] in [[Resotania]]. [[O.P.E.R.A.]] sought their aid and access to the Holdings, their magical library, in their investigations into the [[Vaults of Ahm]].
