He is imprisoned within the [[Nine Hells]] by the devil [[Asmodeus]], the prison he is also forced to be the warden of. His curses and plots have levelled kingdoms and ruined countries. The origins of Azun and the hells are entirely unknown. Some stories hold him to be an exiled "thirteenth" god, while others paint him as only arriving at [[Leurut]] centuries later. It is thanks to his machinations that [[Tieflings]] exist, and that [[Humans]] never reach the heights or long lives of [[Dwarves]] or [[Elves]]. He is usually painted as being consumed with spite, and speaking in slow and tempting pontifications. However, he is deliberate in his actions, and constantly bides his time.
